Sweet spring

Oh my dears I am still alive and I hope you are all well . I wanted to post something but when I started to write it sounded quite stupid so I didn't post anything at all. I also was in a strange mood, my thoughts weren't easy to catch and it was even harder to focus on them ( I hope you know what I am talking about).
But well, the main thing is not to stress yourself.

So let's see what is just happening : Sweet spring arrived late but at least it arrived. At this point I would like to describe how much I love spring and how magic it feels to see the world coming to life again, but I can't find the fitting words. It's just incredible, my eyes and heart kind of glow everytime I am outside. I think you will understand if you take a walk. Or just look at the stars, listen to the sweet song of the blackbirds in the morning.

I also discovered a nice qoute I'd like to share:

"Opening your heart and being courageous and telling people you care about  them or like them or that you think they're special only makes you a better, kinder, softer more loving person and only attracts more love in your life."   ~ Amy Poehler

Everyone likes to be treated nice and so why don't we say someone we like, even if they are old friends, how much we care about them? Life is too short.

Words

“Human speech is like a cracked kettle on which we tap crude rhythms for bears to dance to, while we long to make music that will melt the stars.”
                       ~ Gustave Flaubert

I wish I could express myself just the way I want so everyone could understand what I want to say or what I want them to know. But that's not very easy sometimes.

By the way: I can't wait for spring!

Icy Saturdays

As I am writing this, the snow turned to rain again but the last three Saturdays where so beautiful clear and icy, especially the mornings. I took some photos, but they just don't catch the athmosphere. The forest was like a castle of a fairy queen and our garden was decorated with wonderful jewels made of ice crystals and frozen rosehips. I also saw about 50 white whooper swans flying above me. Believe me, the last Saturdays were truly amazing.

I haven't completly finished my To-Do-List for this year, but I want to share three things with you:

- Romantic Heroine shared an interesting idea: a memory jar
This is such a simple and cute idea, I will definetly start my own memory jar.

- This year I want to plant some vegetables and herbs in our garden. I can't wait for it!

-  This sentence I found somewhere seems to be perfect for me right now and maybe it becomes my word/ sentence of 2013.  I am not sure yet.

Angus and Julia Stone-Paper Aeroplane

I wish you a calm Sunday , maybe with one or two cups of tea :)

I wanted to post a little Christmas greeting but I had some problems with the internet. But now I wish you the best for the new year 2013. 2012 is almost gone. It's scary how fast time can pass. I am very grateful for all the good things that happened and the wonderful people I met and I hope that you can think of enough happy events of this year. Right now I can hardly find the right words so I maybe write another post and maybe I will share a list with you  with things I'd like to to next year. We'll see.

For now I wish you a peaceful place where you can spent the last days of this now very old year and  delightful days.

It's a pitty it doesn't look like this outside anymore.

Can you believe it? Tomorrow is already the first of December and the year is getting older and older.
So Christmas isn't far.

I feel a little exhausted because I have to study a lot for school and there are always some people who are so negative sometimes and this annoys me. My head feels like an untidy  room I have to clean up.
But there are still the ones who inspire me. This can be some of the lovely persons I see almost every day or just the singers of  the songs I listen to.

It got very cold the last days but it's a little bit sad that it didn't snow so far. But we'll see...
I don't know when you have to get up but when I get up it is still very dark outside. This means, if I am lucky, I can see the stars. Have you ever noticed the stunning dark blue of the sky when there's only a small stripe of lighter blue on the horizon? I love it!

It's a pitty that there are no northern lights where I live but one day I want to see them. They remind me of the fairytale " The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen. It's was one of my favourite fairytales when I was younger and it still is.

Weherever you are, have a very lovely weekend an I wish you a lot of happiness for the first week of December.

P.S.: If you have a cold like me or you freeze a bit, you maybe try what I tried: I put little pieces of  fresh ginger in my tea and if you want you can add a little lemon juice( of course you can try this with different spices). You feel wonderful warm if you drink this "special tea".

Back again and so excited

Finally I am home again but it is weird because I feel like time has stopped for two weeks because suddenly  I am back.  Maybe the Pevensie siblings felt like this when they came back from Narnia. But it's a pity I didn't visit Narnia. I went to Finnland and this is quite wonderful too.
You will read more about this in another post.

Today I have to tell you that I was so excited as I found out that I am nominated for the "Liebster Award" by Romantic Heroine. First of all I just want to thank you!

This is an award for bloggers with less than 200 followers. I think it's a really wonderful award.
If you are choosen you tell 11 things about yourself, answer 11 questions, nominate 11 people and ask them 11 new questions.

So here we go.

11 things about myself
1. I have a two year old brother.
2. I love my cats.
3. When I am alone I often think in big monologues.
4. Making decisions is very hard for me, even when it's about my favourite color.
5. My zodiac is taurus.
6. I like to draw.
7. I am a big fan of tea ( especially "Yogi Tea", the one with the wise words)
8. The house I live in once was a little farm and I love my home.
9. I love being in a forest or near to plants.
10. Even if I love reading books, I think that there are so many wonderful books I haven't read yet.
11.I love watching people (and maybe people I don't know about very much)  and try to look behind the surface because I love it when people aren't too superficial when you talk to  them .... I hope you know what I mean.

11 questions who want to be answered

1.How would you describe your personlity? Are you an extrovert or introvert?- Maybe I am both but a little more introvert.I don't have problems with making a presentations in front of my class and some say I am a positive person but I prefer to stay away from too much people and I don't talk much about my feelings.

2.How do you deal with failures?- First I try to stop overthinking. Writing them down or talking with myself helps sometimes. It also helps when I say to myself that making mistakes is human and I can learn from them.

3.What are you currently listening to?- Right now I listen to the little playlist on my blog and next to me my cat is purring.. I was also listening to Mumford and Sons, Lana del Rey and some soundtracks the last days.

                                     4. Which countries did you visit so far?-Ireland , Finnland and Spain(  more precise Mallorca).

                                     5. Do you believe in destiny?-   Because everyone is different and I think that everyone lives on earth because of some purpose we might don't know yet I believe that there must be a special way for everyone. But I also believe that it isn't a complete inflexible thing.

6.What's your favorite qoutation?- "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye" by Antoine de Saint- Exupery ( but the whole world is full of beautiful qoutes especially "The Alchimist" is full of wise words, but right at this moment this qoute is my favourite).

7.What was the biggest adventure in your life?-  So far nothing I can call a real adventure happened to me, but let's see what the time will bring....

8.If you could learn a foreign language, which would it be?-   Maybe I'd
choose French.

9.What's your favorite movie?-  That's a hard decsion! I love movies like "Pride and Predjudice" and "Bright Star" , but I am also in love with the wonderful artwoks of Hayao Miyazaki like " Spirited away" and I enjoy movies like " Sherlock Holmes" and " Lord of the Rings" or " Narnia".... there are too many good movies

10.Do you love the warmer seasons or the colder ones, and why?- Without the warm seasons, the colder ones would be sad. I adore the astonishing life in spring and summer. But autumn is so beautiful and winter is mostly like a magic dream. So I would choose May,June, October and December. They are, exept of December, not this extrem.

11.When you could do whatever you like, what would it be?- I would learn new  instruments like the piano or violin and learn how to sail and how fly a sailplane and learn how to sail and   travel the world. These are the first things that came to my mind but if I thought a little longer there might be much more and more important things....

11 questions for the new nominees

                                  1. Do you have a passion or a dream?
                                  2.What's your favorite place?And why?
3.Are you an optimist or a pessimist?
4.What music do you listen to?
                                  5.What books do you read?
6.What do you like most about yourself?
7.Which countries you always wanted to visit?

                                 10. What's you favourite fairytale?
                                 11.Are you happy right know?

Here are the ones I nominate:

                                    The Wood bewteen my worlds

Summer

July passed by too quickly. I just realised that we have vacation now and suddenly it's August. This fears me a bit but well, time shouldn't be an enemy. I was a little overthinking about everything the last weeks and I really had a need to post something about it but it was just too hard and now I think I am able to relax my mind again.
But there's another thing I'd like to share with you. Since it was raining for maybe two weeks, the last week surprised us with quite hot weather. Even if I am not a big fan of an exhausting hot summer, I love the smell of the fields and the forests and the beauty the waving  cornfields. So I went out and discovered summer.

This is a part of the meadow next to our garden. It's one of the first things I see when I look out of my window in the morning.

Wether you have to work or not I wish you some beautiful weeks of summer!

P.S.: The next two weeks I am off for holiday. I am sure this time the fotos will stay on my memory card :)

You are you!

"You are not your bra size, nor are you the width of your waist, nor are you the slenderness of your calves. You are not your hair color, your skin color, nor are you a shade of lipstick.

Your shoe size is of no consequence. You are not defined by the amount of attention you get from males, females, or any combination thereof. You are not the number of sit-ups you can do, nor are you the number of calories in a day. You are not your mustache. You are not the hair on your legs. You are not a little red dress. You are no amalgam of these things.

You are the content of your character. You are the ambitions that drive you. You are the goals that you set. You are the things that you laugh at and the words that you say. You are the thoughts you think and the things you wonder.

You are beautiful and desirable not for the clique you attend, but for the spark of life within you that compels you to make your life a full and meaningful one.

You are beautiful not for the shape of the vessel, but for the volume of the soul it carries. "

I found this little text somewhere and I hope it will bring a smile on your lips as it brought to me...

Today I just want to write a few things down I saw the last days which made me happy....

                                  a shootingstar....the moon...and the stars

                                  sparkling snow crystals...

bright and colorful sunrises after cold nights.....

                                          a peacefully sleeping cat

These are the small things of life I love so much.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

     ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery ~

This is one of my favorite quote, I always try to remember because one of the most heaviest lessons of life is, in my point of view, to be real attentive.

Well, I wish you all a happy week and a realxing weekend.
